A Big Step

First there was the answering machine we finally bought whilst living in Oregon. It was a big step for us, but Kris was the Bishop and we felt we finally needed one. Marv and Nancy Vernon gave us our first phone with an answering machine. Marv was the Bishop before Kris and knew we'd need one.
We moved to California in January of 1990 and with that finally came the next big step, duh duh duh!, a cordless phone! Whoa, talk about progress. Then eventually came the desktop computer, the laptop and, yes, the cell phones which we held out from getting for what seemed like forever.
Now, here we are, our lives radically different and we've succumbed to blogging. It was inevitable with three out of four of our children blogging and the arrival of our first grandchild.
We moved to New Jersey in November of 2006 after Kris accepted a promotion within AIG, the company with whom he has worked for over ten years. We live in a little borough called Succasunna, part of Roxbury Township. How cool is the name Succasunna? Our back yard is incredible and once I learn how to post pictures, I will be able to show our yard during the different seasons.
We'll probably play catch-up for a while with pictures and stories and it will may well not be of much interest to most, but hopefully to those who care. We will also include news of Granny and Granbob whose lives continue to change along with ours, though their changes are of a different nature.
We're excited and hope it's as fun for you who read as it is for us (me) to create!
